Master Trainer Richard Link

Richard Link is a retired Chief Master Sergeant (USAF) and a Master Trainer for the Tai Chi for Health Institute and a 2nd Degree Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo.

He is certified to teach Tai Chi for Health Programs including, Tai Chi for Arthritis Part 1&2, Tai Chi for Arthritis for Fall Prevention, Tai Chi for Diabetes, Tai Chi for Osteoporosis, Tai Chi for Energy, Tai Chi for Beginners, Seated Tai Chi, Tai Chi for Rehabilitation, and Tai Chi for Kids. He has been instructing adults and children in both Tai Chi and Taekwondo for over 15 years.

He has been teaching a program for Pre and Post-Transplant patients at Methodist University Hospital for over 6 years, helping patients build up their strength and stamina and assisting in improving their balance, breathing, flexibility, stress relief, and speedy recovery. He also teaches a Tai Chi for Health Programs for the patients of Dr. Michael Posey and Dr. Jim Ensor, Germantown Wellness and Preventative Center.

Richard also works with Shelby Farms Park Conservancy with their Children’s Discovery Camp, Junior Equestrian Program, and Senior “Wise Treak” Program, teaching tai chi to the children as part of their horsemanship program and Tai Chi for Diabetes classes. He has conducted classes in several area churches, libraries, and schools working with children in ages 4 years old and up using imagery and imagination to stimulate interest. He has experience in teaching both seated and standing programs and are designed for everyone to participate regardless of age, gender, body type, or physical condition. He also teaches programs at several assisted living retirement centers in the Memphis area for both seated and standing students.

Richard has attended many USA weeklong Tai Chi Workshops including several In-Depth Workshops with Dr. Paul Lam. He also studies the Yang 24, Chen 36 Forms, and Push Hands. He has a Master Trainers Certification in the Sun 73 Forms.

He has made several presentations at the weeklong workshops both in the USA and Australia.
